Naches Valley Transportation Department

This is one of the older versions of "Thomas" bus we have here at Naches.

Information for catching the bus:

Stand in a safe spot where the bus driver can see you. If the weather is bad and you think school may be closed or delayed, listen to the radio, check the Naches Valley website, or call the activity hotline at 945-6725.

Information for riding the bus home:

Make sure the bus driver knows where you get off the bus. If you have to cross the road, wait until the bus driver turns his safety paddle to the green color. Don't be in the aisle. Don't stand up while the bus is in motion. Also, sit in the seats properly.

RouteteInformation

The Naches Valley School District, in the center of Washington State, covers an expanse larger than the State of Rhode Island. Our district is 1,375 square miles and is one of the largest districts geographically in the State of Washington. We border the Yakima School District on our east end and daily serve the summit of White Pass at our west end.  We also travel west of Whistlin' Jack Lodge on Chinook Pass and border the Ellensburg School District to the north.

On any given school day, our 15 bus/routes travel 1,050 miles, transporting nearly 1,000 of our 1,500 students to and from school. Our buses/drivers travel roughly 225,000 miles each school year between regular routes, extra curricular and field trips.
