Directions for submitting an "APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION " to NVSD
(For families that currently live within another district's boundaries but prefer their child(ren) to attend Naches Valley School District.) ******Note: Students will not be allowed to attend school until the Applications for Admission and all other paper work are completed and returned.******
Procedure:
Please Note: Admission to the Naches Valley School District by students who do not reside within the district boundaries must be approved by the Superintendent. (Please read Policy 3141 and Procedure 3141P for the complete board policy and procedure regarding Admission of Nonresident Students.) At times our enrollment is such that we have to close various grade levels to out of district students. If that occurs, you may be placed on a waiting list for admission.
1. Visit the Office of Admissions in the school district in which you live. Complete that district's paper work and get the signature of their superintendent, releasing you from their district. Bring a copy of that district's form to the Naches Administration Office, 24 Shafer Avenue, Naches, WA. (We also accept paper work sent directly from other districts to us.)
2. Click here to download the Naches Valley School District form. Complete the first page and return it to the District Office to have it signed by Mr. Lyons, Superintendent of Schools. A copy of the completed form will be sent to your resident district for their records.
3. If you are new to the district and are seeking admission, you must also fill a separate, building "Application for Admittance" which asks for some history on your student's previous school experience and enables the building principal to accept or reject your student's application.

(For families that currently live in the Naches Valley School District but prefer their child(ren) to attend another district.)
Procedure:
Release from the Naches Valley School District by students who reside within the district boundaries must be approved by the Superintendent. (Please read Policy 3140 for the complete board policy regarding Release of Resident Students.)
1. Click here to download the form. Complete the first page and return it to the District Office to have it signed by Mr. Lyons, Superintendent of Schools. Once Mr. Lyons has signed the form, you will be given a copy of it to take to the school in which you are enrolling and another copy of it will be sent to the other district's administration office for you.
